By the grace of Sadhguru,I have  travelled thru all the chief pilgrim centers in India from Amarnath (3 times) to Anantapur (Padm anabha Swamy - Kanya Kumari Rameshwaram 39 times).  Assam Arunachal Pradesh to Somnath,(Dwarka Puri 39 times), Panch Kedar, Panch Badri, Panch Prayag, Panch Ram, Nav Nandi, Ekadash Rudrasthan, Six Kshanmukh Sthan, One Om Parvat, Ashta Narayan, Ashta Vinayaka, Konkan Ashta Ganesh, 33 Pitru Sthan  , 40 Shaktipeeths and many Siddha Peeth Darshan Services, places  frm Gaumukh to  Gangasagar, Parashuram Kund to Agastya Kund and Agastya Falls.
  DIspite being  undesrving all this i was graced n  favored, and Babaji  chose me to write his biographical book in three Marathi, Hindi and English languages, which is probably his only biographical repository in the whole world,in any language.(( though there are many books on Babaji in which there is a sparadic references to his life sketch)
So i also visited  Babaji Chardham: Birth, Gurusthan, Shikshasthan and interview and  eyeview of his Siddhapeeth Siddhashram mountain, his birthplace, which I dont miss if  i go to that area,visited 8 ten times.
  Let's take an eye view of
the place where he did his yoga education and get the information about it.:
In May 2014 on Buddh Pornima ,auspicious Vaishakh pornima day इ landed on COLOMBO AIRPORT wth the only intention of visiting d place where  Babaji was initiated for क्रिया योग:KATTIR GRAM,and ashtonishingly it was not a part of our Itinerary.
THIS PLACE IS NEAR TEESMAHARAMA IN SOUTHEHER PROVINCE DIST HAMBANTOTA , SOUTH LANKA.THERE IS A NATIONAL PARK HERE CALLED YALA SAFARI
BUT  I CAME UPTO THIS POINT ND LITERALLY RAN AWAY FROM MY GROUP OF 8 PEOPLE FOR WHOM THE LANKAN TOUR WAS ARRANGED AS THE KATTIR GRAM WAS NOT IN OUR ITINERARY.
IT WAS MY FIRST TOUR OUT OF INDIA (EXCEPTION NEPAL WHERE I HAD GONE 5 TIMES ,N KAILAS)
I WAS VERY MUCH INTERESTED  IN GOING TO KATTIR GRAM (KATTARGAMMAM IN Lankan )
Wth greatest difficulties,esp ethnic, linguistic,phonetic,transport, route,i reached Kattir gram .
IMAGINE WHAT N HOW I   CUD GO THRU ALL THIS.?It was a Herculean task indeed .
KATIR GRAM MEANS VILLAGE OF कार्तिक .
HERE KARTIK ,the lord of YOUTH N VIGOUR, STAYED N HAD HIS LILA ( PAGEANTRIES) WITH HIS SECOND CONSORT VALLI.
WE BELIEVE  HERE THAT KARTIKEY WAS SINGLE I.E. UNMARRIED  (BECAUSE OF SOME BELIEF/LEGEND)BUT IT IS NOT TRUE. HE HAS TWO WIVES DEVSENA N VALLI
Devasena is  the daughter of Indra, the king of the gods (devas). She is betrothed to Kartikeya by Indra, when he became the commander-in-chief of the Gods. In south-Indian culture, Devasena is generally depicted as an antithesis of Valli, her co-wife; together they complete the God.Devasena is often depicted with Kartikeya  isgeberally also accompanied by Valli.
Devasena does not enjoy independent worship status, but is worshipped as Kartikeya's consort in most of his temples. She plays a greater role in the Tiruppurankundram Murugan Temple, Maduraibelieved to be the site of her marriage.
But After killing तारकासुर  Kartikey went to श्री लंका at Katirgram ,in TEESMARAMA AREA ,WHERE HE MET D DAUGHTER OF LOCAL ADIVASI TRIBES KING N SHE WAS IN LOVE WTH MURUGA, IT IS HERE THAT KARTIKEYAN HAD ALL HIS PAGEANTRIES (LEELAAS :लिला)
WTH HER .VALLI IS COMPARABLE WTH RADHA OF KRUSHNA .
It is here one of d 84 siddhas n First क्रिया योग गुरु of बाबाजी  BHOGNATH,stayed n ran his गुरुकुल n installed d GOLDEN YANTRA OF SHREE KARTIKEY .
THERE IS A BIG FESTIVAL OF KARTIKEYAN HELD HERE DURING आषाढ मास ,I.E. JULY EVERY YEAR.
MAHAVTAAR BABAJI CAME HERE ALL THE WAY WALKING FROM INDIA TO MEET HIS PRECEPTOR Bogarnath ,alias BHOGNATHER.
HE HAD ALL HIS FORMAL LEARNING OF KRIYA YOG .
I had a holy dip here took दर्शन of d  main temple ,meditated for a while near Babaji temple visited the other temples in the vicinity.
THE PLACE IS FULL OF SPIRITUAL ENERGY ,CHARM. i reached my wth great feelings of spiritual bliss nd ecstacy around ten at night.Actual detail account of the visit is a subject of another full fledged article. But one thing is neceessary to mention here that सद्गुरू made me ,an average middle class professor, who despite having a subject of teaching a hot cake never took a single tution ,was made to travel 40 nations after 2014 till 2019.Miracle is nt it?
I FEEL REALLY BLESSED TO HV VISITED THE PLACE TWICE .
