He went straight to the monastery of Belur,Kolkata, Vivekananda's gurus matt. Narendra there Shri Shree Atmasthanandji was the chief director. In his association, Narendraji spent some time and requested him to initiate sannyas. but ......
Atmasthanandaswamy avoided this and said that Narendra was born for contributing to welfare of the society & he should pledge to serve the country.In this sense, Atmasthananda was also his guru,just as LordDattatreya have many gurus.
In fact,he did not budge by refus al of Atmanasthana. He reached Rajkot and went to Ramakrishna Math and tried to seek initiation  there too, but also failed here.
The divine law had something els
for him.
Modi then became active in RSS, learnt under Vajpayee but left Ramniti(Ethics of Lord Ram) and used Krishnaniti to become the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
Meanwhile, when he had some problems, he came in contact with Swami Dayanand Giriji from Rishikesh about 18 or 19 years ago and Modi also received his guidance and kept the bond of spiritual relationship with him till his Nirvana in September 2017.

And see the double coincidence of pleasures, Swami Dayanand Giriji also has the same influence on my spiritual life in fact for more years as I came in his contact from 11 years before contact with Abhiramadasji. When Swami Dayanandaji was having a satsang discourse week in Vashi near my residence, he had the plan to start the Gita and Veda teaching  in Vashi I had provided a place to stay for his disciple Mr. Uday Acharyaji, who was  to run this class.
At that time Udayji frequently us ed to come to my house.He used to stay and he used to get along well with my mother (66 at that time), he was very fond of my mother and of her nature. Because of this I came to be associated with Rishikeshashram for the last 28 to 30years.
Dayanandaswamy was,the guru brother of Chinmayananda Swam y, a disciple of Tapovan Swamy.I have been very much fond of Swami Dayanandji uniquely great, easy, sweet,eloquent narration st yle.His analysis used to be very beautiful,melodious,relevant and deep.Because of him I understoo d the true meaning,path and ulti mate goal of spirituality and I made full use of it for me and the students,development,travel arra ngements,spiritual development, not only that, based on all those experiences,and on questions answer sessions with my stude nts during our visits to Himala yas,between 1997 and 2000,  I wrote a book:Management by Spiritual Quotient( SQ):Power of Faith which was published in the U.S.(https://www.amazon.com/Management-Spiritual-Quotient-Power-Faith/dp/1448970148)
Swamy' have  his ashrams are in Rishikesh,Coimbatore and Penn sylvania.He did all this with a dig nified non expectant attitude.He undertook many activities for the Seva movement,managed many schools, the AIM (All India Move Ment) for seva. He paved the way for spiritual progress of many and has left behind the tradition and heritage of many sadhus and students.Modiji was constantly in touch with him till2017.

In fact, Narendra is a man who is completely devoted. He absorbed Atal ji in himself and devoted himself to the country. On the success of his disciple,Guru Abhiram Das said that I hope that under the leadership of Narendra Modi,India shall regain her self-respect in the world. The country will get freedom from corruption. Cow slaughters  and other irreligious acts will be curbed. Uttarakhand will also develop with the arrival of Narendra Modi.
Modi has established a railway network in Uttarakhand and the work is in full swing. Uttarakhand Chardham pucca all season motar road till kedarnath is under construction.
During the 2019on the day of elections in Kashi, Modi was meditating all night in Rudra cave near Kedarnath.
In this way,the clean,selfless,patr iotic,non-corrupt,true Hindu P. M. sevak, who has  fulfilled the words and beliefs of his Guru, has been endowed  onto India after many centuries. Millions of prostrations and propulsion for his reverence, work  nd worship towards his mother,guru nd Nation.
